If you'd love to get a pet turtle or tortoise for yourself, please consider first to adopt one from a turtle rescue.  Those animals have been mistreated,  traumatized or injured and desperately need loving homes where they can live a well deserved and peaceful life. If you can't find the pet you are looking for, you also can get babies from reliable Breeders, but I urge you to not buy them in a pet store. There are many turtle and tortoise groups in Yahoo, where you can get tons of info about specific species and turtle / tortoise rescues.
